Francis Purcell is a prolific guitar player who has travelled widely and played in many countries. He only started playing the guitar at the age of 14 with his first guitar given to him by his mother.

Now in his late fifty, his experience in the field of music as a composer, arranger, producer and guitarist for many recording artistes both in Asia and Europe is indeed extensive. This is markedly shown in the distinct style and flawless technic in his playing which has captivated many an audience at home and abroad.

In 1998, Francis Purcell was invited to have his biographical entry included in the Second Edition of the INTERNATIONAL WHO'S WHO IN MUSIC Volume Two - Popular Music by the International Biographical Centre in England.
