"Harmonious Qin And Se 琴瑟和鸣" is the latest release from Jin Feng Records and marks the world’s first-ever album dedicated to the harmonious interplay of the Qin and Se. The Qin, also known as the guqin, and the Se are two of China's most significant ancient string instruments, often mentioned together in classical texts such as the Book of Songs. Phrases like "May husband and wife be in harmony, like the tuning of Qin and Se" and "When the Qin and Se are played, peace prevails" illustrate the elegance and profound cultural significance of their duet.

This album features performances by renowned scholar and musician Professor Ding Chengyun and his wife, Fu Lina. Professor Ding has conducted extensive research on the restoration and playing techniques of the ancient Se, while Madam Fu Lina’s delicate interpretation brings its subtle beauty to life.

The album includes eight pieces, with four showcasing the Qin-Se duet: "Shen Ren Chang 神人畅", "Yang Guan San Die 阳关三叠", "Yu Jiao Wen Da 渔櫵问答", and "Guan Shan Yue 关山月". Through these recordings, listeners will experience the ethereal and transcendent resonance of the Qin and Se, as the artistry of the Ding couple revives the lost harmonies of an ancient musical tradition.
